Privacy Policy
1. What runs locally (and never leaves your device)
LATYS is a desktop app. Your source code, prompts, file names, folders, terminal output, and command history stay on your computer and are never transmitted to us. API keys you enter are stored encrypted at rest using your operating system's secure storage (Windows DPAPI via Electron safeStorage). CLI logins are handled by those tools' own official sign-in — we never capture or store your passwords.
2. Licensing
Your license key is verified offline on your device. We do not phone home to use the app. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never receive or store your card details. Stripe shares only your email and payment status so we can issue your license. See Stripe's privacy policy.
3. Community ("Vibe Coding Universe") — opt-in only
The community is off by default. You are invisible until you choose to join and go visible. If you opt in, the following are stored on our community backend (Supabase) and shown to other signed-in members:
- The email + password you create for the community (the password is hashed; we never see it).
- Only what you choose to share: display name, avatar, a status message, your AI provider name (e.g. "Claude") if enabled, an optional generic project label, and chat messages you send (including GIFs).
We never receive your code, prompts, file paths, folder names, terminal contents, or command history through the community — there is no field for them. GIF search is provided by Giphy (your search terms go to Giphy when you use the picker).
4. Your choices and rights
- Turn community presence off, or hide yourself, at any time.
- Edit or delete your community profile, which removes your profile and messages.
- Disconnect any AI provider; delete locally stored keys.
- Request deletion of community data by emailing [email protected].
5. Diagnostics
The app keeps local logs for troubleshooting. Logs are scrubbed of secrets (API keys, tokens, license keys, credentials) and are not sent to us automatically.
6. Children
LATYS is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction).
7. Changes
We may update this policy; the "Last updated" date will change. Material changes will be communicated to founders.
